As you probably will see on the news this morning, we're having a bit of an ice storm here in Massachusetts. Power has been off since about midnight. No heat, no lights. Luckily, it's not that cold...only about 33. Also, luckily, our local Starbucks has power! We have about 3 downed branches this size in our yard. It's pretty impressive how much ice fell off of them. When we drove to Starbucks, we had to take several detours because entire streets are blocked by downed trees.
When we walked out to this branch, I told Carmen that we should make margaritas! (you know...with all the ice.)
We were supposed to get about 2 inches of rain last night. Since our yard is a big soupy mess, that sounds about right. It's supposed to stop raining around noon, then warm up a little...but then get down in the teens tonight. Good thing tomorrow is Saturday!
